And you know what they say about third times....(they do not say this about taking the third monte carlo from the biscuit jar at work - not charming apparently)
Our two previous homes have been built for us. We have chosen the floor plan, the tiles, the kitchen layout, the colour of the bricks. This time we have gone down another path.
We have bought an older house in which someone else has made all of those choices.
The new house "has potential".
To us it has the potential to allow us to rightsize and improve the way we live our lives.
The potential to be a lovely home. And the potential not to look as hideous as it does just now.
So I am slowly packing.
And the universe is teaching me patience.
For five more weeks.
P.S. the kitchen looked like that for maybe three days in a three year period.
